As long as the name sounds the same, others will still be able to know how to say it easily. Other ideas for changing the spelling of a name to make it unique is to add hyphens. This may change the way it is said because of the emphasis on different parts of the name.

* Culture or religion as a source. - Many unique names full of cultural meaning can be used for new babies. This can be a great way for the child to grow up with a sense of pride about their heritage and ancestry. Religion is a way to find unique names that also have meaning to the family, and will allow the child to grow up with more knowledge about their family faith.
