I can show you some fun food ideas that will make everyone laugh. Do you like mashed potatoes and peas and carrots? You will love the ones that I show you how to make. Your family and friends will be surprised when you serve some of these foods that are easy and fun to make.

You can have a lot of fun creating April fool pranks with food. Some of these are recipes that require a grown up’s help. Your parents or grandparents will enjoy helping you make food that is not quite what it seems to be. Remember, your mum and dad, or another adult can be in charge of the actual cooking and should be the ones who handle any hot trays or pans.

Fake French Fries

Ingredients

1 roll of bread dough
Powdered sugar
Cinnamon sugar
Kitchen scissors or butter knife
Shallow baking pan or jelly roll pan
White envelopes that are cut in half
Strawberry or raspberry jam

Directions

Preheat the oven according to the directions on the package of bread dough.

Flatten the bread dough with your hands or a rolling pin, and use kitchen scissors or a butter knife to cut strips of thin dough that are about 4 inches long. Kitchen scissors are very sharp so it will be best to have an adult help you.

Line the pan with foil.

Dust the strips with a little shake of cinnamon sugar and place them on the foil lined pan

Let an adult help you place the pan in the oven and cook for about 5-7 minutes. When the dough is lightly browned they will be ready.

Have an adult remove the pan and let the fake French fries cool.
Dust them with powdered sugar and put some in the envelopes that you cut in half. Make sure that the tops of the Fake fries can be seen. Place them on a saucer or a paper plate and add a spoonful of the red jam. Now you have fake ketchup to go with your Fake fries.
