Some Great Ideas for Decorating your Baby Nursery

So you have just found out that in nine months you will be the parents of a bundle of joy!  There is so much to do to get ready for you little ones arrival.  After sorting out your baby nursery furniture probably one of the biggest projects that you will then need to do is to decorate your little ones nursery.

There are so many decorating options for your new nursery that it can be tough to narrow down your options.  One of the most inexpensive and eye-catching ways to instantly change the appearance of the room is to use nursery wall stickers to decorate the room with.  These vinyl stickers are available in so many different motifs so that your imagination is really your only decorating limitation.

Another great way to spruce up your baby's room is by painting a wall mural.  By concentrating all of your efforts on one big statement in the room, you will instantly set the tone.  Perhaps you will want to create a jungle motif for a little boy or a fairy princess's theme for a little girl.  Whatever your inspiration is a wall mural can spark your child's imagination for many years to come.

Your nursery’s lighting can really add a lot to the room.  There are so many different types of lighting out there that you should be able to find anything that you can dream up.  You can find adorable table lamps in every shape and size that you can dream of.  Or maybe you would rather hang twinkle lights in your nursery to allow for a comfortable night's sleep.  An even more interesting lighting option is to purchase a lighted mobile for your baby's crib.  That will not only add instant ambiance to your nursery, but it will also be eye catching for you little one.  Look too for a selection of nursery string lights that are soft to the touch and safe to run around the wall, around shelves and mirrors, or drape over curtains. You can also buy soft material nursery lamps for boys or girls that you can match to your bedding.

There are also fantastic colourful children's rugs that you can use as an addition to your nurseries decor.  Rugs can add instant colour to a room without having to commit to investing in wall-to-wall carpet or in spending the time, energy, and money to paint the room.  Rugs are great too because you can simply toss them in the washing machine to clean them so that as your little one starts to crawl you can be confident in letting them explore their nursery without fear of dirt and germs.

There is also great wall art that you can purchase for your baby's nursery.  You do not have to spend a lot of money to give the room some personality.  There are framed personalized pictures, embroidered pictures, and great tapestries available for you to use and hang in your little ones room.

A new baby is an exciting prospect, but there is a lot to think about before you, you have your baby.  Getting their room ready should be a fun and exciting project for you to work on.  With all of the great decorating tools for nurseries out there, you can be sure that you will be able to create the perfect room for your perfect bundle of joy!
