Before You Choose A Bunk Bed, Look At The Style Options That Are Sure To Meet Any Tastes!

There is something extra magical about bunk beds for most kids. Whether they are climbing on the top bunk or making a fort on the bottom bunk, no other bed makes quite the impression as these options!

Furniture design and innovation has moved far beyond the simple stacking of two twin beds on top of each other to create a space efficient sleeping option. Today, there are a wide variety of bunk beds and accessories designed to meet various needs and desires called upon by a child's room's decor.

The "L"

These beds are much like a high sleeper with the added benefit of a lower bed which, when placed in an "L" formation, leaves extra space in the lower area for optional accessories, such as a corner desk, a small chest of drawers, a bookshelf, et cetera. A great advantage of the L-shaped bunk is that comforting eye-contact can be maintained between the top and bottom bunk occupants.

Another advantage of the L-shaped bed option is that, when used by adults, there is less feeling of restriction by being enclosed within the traditional bottom bunking portion. This is ideal for college students, older teenagers, and even mothers who want to stay close to her sleeping child.

Toddler Bunk

This small toddler bunk bed is sixteen inches shorter and is narrower than a standard twin sized bed, which is perfect for smaller children, growing twins, and rooms that have limited space. This bed uses a standard-sized crib mattress, making it transition easily into a room previously containing a crib.

The bottom bunk has the option of keeping safety rails attached or being left open and perhaps used as a seating area, perfect for story time or quiet play.

Trundle Bunks

When three children share a room that has limited space, a standard-style bunk with a trundle accessory can quickly convert a room that is spacious enough for day-time playing into comfortable sleeping quarters for the whole crew. The trundle accessory is also perfect for sleepovers and a convenient guest bed!

Hide-A-Bed

Having the best of both worlds, the hide-a-bed bunk has a traditional bed on top and a love-seat-sized sofa and desk on the bottom. This all-in-one design is perfect for older children and adults that will need a place to sit comfortably and read, work on writing, homework, bills, or even the computer, and a comfortable spot to sleep. But wait! The love seat pulls out into an additional twin sized bed option, leaving a cushioned side section for greater space availability while sleeping.

Accessories! Accessories! Accessories!

In addition to all of the convenient bunking options, there are many accessories that will help to make the room more functional, fun, and finished! From clip on tables to tents to tunnels, these simple accessories combined with your imagination can transform a room into a magical environment that anyone can be proud of. There are also large storage drawers that slide under the bottom bunk, safety rails for ladders, pocketed storage areas, and more!

Sweet dreams!
