The Rise and Rise of the Disney Princesses

Which little girl doesn't love dressing up in Disney princess costumes and dream of finding her Prince Charming.  It’s an irresistible thought.  Being the beautiful princess with her pick of fantastic dresses and tiaras who’s the belle of the ball.  You’re little girl can have her own happily ever after just like Cinderella, Belle, or Sleeping Beauty with their own Disney Princess Costume.

The Disney Princesses have become a troupe of royalty for all little girls to dream of being a part of.  At first these princesses were independent of each other, but in recent years the Disney Corporation revolutionized the idea by teaming the princesses up.

In the past six years that the Walt Disney Company has begun producing the Disney Princess movies, toys, and other merchandise it has become Disney’s highest grossing brand.  It has gotten so big that it has even eclipsed Disney’s main man Mickey Mouse.  The Disney Princesses are currently sold in 90 different countries, and have earned an estimated $3.4 billion US dollars (£2.0 B) in revenue.

The Disney Princesses first came into view in 1937 with Walt Disney’s newest ingénue Snow White.  The princesses continued to be created throughout the years until the final one was added in 1998 with Mulan.  All of these princesses were drawn from folk and fairy tales.   Each of the Disney Princesses was originally introduced to the world in their own feature length films.  However, after their films faded out of the public consciousness it seemed that the characters disappeared from fans minds as well.  Finally in 1999 the Disney Princess was all united together into one grand marketing plan.

What the people at the Walt Disney cooperation realized is that little girls don’t want to be just any princess.  They dream of being one of the princesses that they have watched over and over again on DVD like Cinderella, Belle, or Snow White.  The corporation then decided that one of the best ways to make a little girls dream come true is by making the Disney Princesses signature dresses available for girls to take home with them.  With a Disney Princess Costume of their favorite character the girls will be able to become their dream.  Each costume is specific in every detail and stays true to the movies that your little girl has fallen in love with.  With all of the negative role models out there from crazed pop stars to half dressed teen queens a wholesome princess fantasy is a mom’s dream.  With a Disney Princess costume you will be able to watch your little girl play dress up as a little girl!

With stories of integrity, truth, honor, and love the Disney Princesses are a fantastic way for your child to use their imagination in a positive story line.  A Disney Princess Costume is the perfect companion to any game of make believe that your little girl can dream up.  As she puts it on, she will truly become the most beautiful princess that she could ever be!
